Channel Catfish

Channel catfish eat a variety of foods such as minnows, food pellets, crayfish, algae and insects. Catfish can tolerate both cold and warm water ponds typically reaching 2-5 lbs. and occasionally grow to 20 lbs. Channel catfish may need to be restocked as they often do not reproduce well in ponds. Channel catfish require a minimum depth of 7 to 8 feet with a suggested stocking rate of 25-50 catfish and 100 minnows per 1/4 acre. 4-6"
